Fill required fields and checks, record payment and extra work, label a customer item, and print the service report from the job page.
Open a job on Service and Business Manager. Checklist items and custom fields appear when Setup has forms, or when the job was created from a service that has them. Job forms and checklists must be on in Setup.
Photos are a note that a picture was taken. The file itself stays in Messages or on the listing until you attach media another way. The checklist can require that photo note before you complete the job.
Choose the job. Under Checklist and records you see each field and each check copied onto this job. Required rows show a star.
Type the serial, the measurement or the note, then leave the field. Tick a check when that step is done. If the item asks for a photo note, write where the picture was taken.
Print service report hides the rail and prints the job page, including the checks you have ticked. It is a worksheet, not a legal certificate.
Record a payment is its own form on the job. Enter a label and an amount in rupees. Mark received writes a payment row and sets the job to Paid. Completing the job does not do that. Linking an invoice from Quotes & Invoices also adds an amount to collect.
If the technician finds more work, Extra work asks for a change title and a revised amount. Ask for approval. Completing the job is refused while that change is pending. The customer can approve it on their job page, or a desk person can approve it here.
Quoted, costs and leftover amounts show when you add materials or labour on the job. Those figures are what you typed. They are not pulled live from stock unless you copy a figure from Accounting yourself.
Barcode intake adds a name such as a laptop or a garment bundle. The desk issues a code. The item sits as intake, then you can move it to in work, ready or returned. Collection acknowledgement is the returned status plus the customer’s confirm on their page if you asked them to confirm.
This is not a warehouse product barcode. It is a label for something the customer left with you.
Assign someone if the job is still unassigned. Finish required fields and required checks. Clear extra work. If approval is pending, wait for the customer or set Approved. Then set work to Completed. A workflow rule can add a follow-up task or a visit when that happens, if you saved one in Setup.
Open Reports for counted figures: how many enquiries became jobs, delayed jobs, repeat customers, unpaid completed work, and jobs per name. Export customers or Export jobs downloads a spreadsheet of this desk. Those figures are this desk’s records, not a market score.
Prepaid balances, subcontractors and rework sit as modules you can turn on. A salon package records remaining visits. A workshop can send a component out and keep the customer job. A returning fault can open rework linked to the earlier job.
If the steps did not solve it, open a ticket from Help & support, or read the Safety Centre if something looks wrong.
