Add a desk or technician person, copy their invite, and let them join with their own MyStreetBiz sign-in without a second Pro plan.
You need a Pro account and the Service and Business Manager desk. Staff invites are for people who already have, or can create, their own MyStreetBiz sign-in. They do not buy a second Pro plan. The owner account stays the Pro desk.
Desk people can run customers, enquiries, jobs, tasks and visits. They can also open Quotes & Invoices on the owner’s account and save quotations and invoices there, so a job’s Create quote finishes under this desk. They cannot open Accounting, Map or the other Pro tools. Technicians see only the jobs assigned to them. They can update those jobs, add a task or visit on a job that is theirs, and mark work blocked or complete. They cannot add customers, merge records, reassign a job, open Setup, or create a quote on the owner’s account.
Only the owner can add staff, copy invites, or change the template and stages. A desk person can still create jobs and assign names. Typing a new name on a job adds that person to the roster so the name and the record stay together.
The desk stays on the website. The Android and iOS apps open the invite in the browser, the same way they open the desk. After someone joins, they can open Service and Business Manager from Software solutions even without Pro, while this Pro account stays active. If the owner plan ends, the desk pauses for staff. The jobs, customers and staff rows stay saved. Other Pro tools stay behind the plan wall. Bookmark the desk if they use it every day.
Open Service and Business Manager, then Setup. Under Staff, enter a name and choose Desk or Technician. Save staff.
Copy invite puts a private join address on the clipboard. Send it to that person in a message you already use. Anyone with the link can try to join, so treat it like a shop key. Search engines are told not to index the page.
Each person has one invite. After they join, the row shows joined and the same link will not bind a different account. If they have not joined yet, you can copy the invite again from the same row.
Do not share one invite with two people. The first sign-in that joins keeps the seat. If you need another worker, add another staff row and send that invite.
If Copy invite cannot use the clipboard, the desk shows the address so you can copy it by hand.
New invite replaces an unused join address if the first one leaked. The old address then stops working. After they join, New invite is not offered: add another staff row for a new seat. Turn off keeps their jobs but they cannot open the desk until you turn them on again. Two active people cannot share the same name.
The invited person signs in with their own email, then opens the invite. If the invite is valid they see the desk name and their role. Choose Join this desk. The website then opens Service and Business Manager for that workspace.
They need a verified email, the same as any other signed-in page. If they are not signed in, the website asks them to sign in and then returns to the invite.
A Pro account that already owns a desk cannot use someone else's invite. Open your own desk from Software solutions instead. A sign-in that is already on another Service and Business Manager desk cannot join a second one. Ask them to use a different email if they truly work on this desk.
If the invite is not valid, the page says so. That happens when the person was marked inactive, the desk was removed, or the address was copied only in part. Add the person again on Setup if you still want them on this desk.
After they join, assign jobs to that name. Technicians cannot reassign work or open Setup. Use My jobs on the owner desk to check one person's workload. Amounts to collect still include completed work that is not marked paid, including work a technician finished.
When a technician opens the desk they see Today, Jobs, Tasks, Calendar, Customers for their jobs, and Tools. Enquiries and Setup stay with the owner and desk roles.
If the steps did not solve it, open a ticket from Help & support, or read the Safety Centre if something looks wrong.
