• Visit the property before paying a deposit.
• Verify identity, title, authority, approvals, charges and written terms.
• For PGs and shared housing, check rules, deposits and operator identity.
• For under-construction projects, confirm state RERA registration where it applies.

• Do not pay a deposit under pressure or before a visit you trust.
